Although not officially supported, Snow Leopard is now able to mount NTFS volumes with both read and write support.

NTFS Mounter simply uses this ability, and provides a simple user interface to the mount command for NTFS volumes.

Kerry,

My dad purchased, and then promptly returned Quicken Essentials because it does NOT have a check printing feature. So if you use Quicken to print your checks, you need to look elsewhere. After doing some research for my dad, I started using Moneydance and just got him converted a few days ago.

If you just do basic tracking of your bank accounts, then essentials is fine.. Otherwise, stick with what you have, or look @ other financial software. Here's a link to reviews of alternatives.

Hey Ron,
I was having some problems with my demonstration at the last meeting. I am going to ask Kerry about doing another demo. I have a post in the forum that I added after the demo that might help. I use spaces all the time and find it to be a really neat feature. I have Windows XP in VM Ware Fusion, and put XP in one space and Leopard in another. I also use it when I pay bills online. Quicken in one space, the web on another and my passwords on a third one. I'll confer with Kerry.
Rod.
PS sorry i didn't see this sooner

It was a treat to take a virtual seat at your meeting! Thanks for the warm welcome. Good topics, good presentations, good people ... another good MUG effort.

I teach public school music in Indianapolis, and I am using iWeb to create and update my school web page. Our school district webmaster will create a redirect so that viewers can use my same old address as I used to use, when I used Publisher to create and maintain the site. Publisher was prone to many errors when posting Web pages. (Sad to say, without .mac, so is iWeb. But when used in conjuction with .mac, it works just fine.)

So this site is not using our school's "official" web address yet for my music program, but the site itself is done for now, at least until my next update.

iWeb/.mac is going to make it about 100 times easier and 100 times faster for me to update my web site. Publisher was a real pain in the neck, if you're going to create a complex site, with many links, photos, and multimedia.
